Museum Futures - The British Museum Trainee


About the role

This trainee will be based with the British Museum's Broadcast team. The Broadcast team are responsible for creating film content for the British Museum, including everything that goes onto the official YouTube site with over 100K subscribers. We are looking for someone that has a keen interest in film-making, strong digital skills, and a desire to build their skills and learn about digital preservation and data management in a museum setting.

The British Museum trainee will be paid a bursary of £15,350 (tax free) and work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage.

2. Attend a Taster Day on Sunday 7th of October, 2:00pm-5:00pm. Potential applicants will be able to explore what it is like working at the museum, sample some tasks and activities based around our collection of objects and speak with staff. Attendance is encouraged but not required in order to apply.
