Museum Futures - Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums Trainee

Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM) is a major regional museum, art gallery and archives service. We manage a collection of nine museums and galleries across Tyneside and the Archives for Tyne and Wear (including Arbeia South Shields Roman Fort, Discovery Museum, Great North Museum: Hancock, Hatton Gallery, Laing Art Gallery, Segedunum Roman Fort, Shipley Art Gallery, South Shields Museum and Art Gallery, Stephenson Railway Museum and Tyne & Wear Archives).

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be provided with training which will equip them with a dynamic range of skills including: collections management systems, object handling, scanning, digital photography, filmmaking, audio recording, editing, social media, website CMS, Google Data Studio and rights clearance.

The TWAM trainee will be paid a bursary of £13,350 (tax free) and work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage.This is a full-time placement for one year.
